Savannah is a single mom who was dumped by the biological father of the twin girls when she told him she was pregnant. After that she starts a blog called “Single Sav” that becomes successful and starts to be not only her job but also her identity; and the mask of herself that she presents to the world. She also wears that mask as a way of not getting hurt: she doesn’t date, ever. She’s focused on her career and raising her daughters.
Ronan is a retired swimmer, Olympic winner and a playboy.
After his career ended his life became kind of hollow, except for the classes
he teaches to little kids. He is the twins swimming teacher and has been secretly
infatuated with Sav for two years, but he doesn’t know how to convince her to
go out with him.
When Sav is offered the job of her dreams she is obligated to confront her biggest fear: getting into the sea. Therefore, she asks the only person she can think about, Ronan, to help her by giving her swimming lessons. The only problem is, that as much as she pretends to despise him, she also is very much attracted to him. The lessons begin and with them the sparks between the two of them start to fly.
Can a playboy start being so? Can a single influencer
stop being single without harming her career? You’ll have to dive into it to
read their wonderful journey.
The side characters are lovely, I love the twins and
the bond that Ronan has with them. And I truly enjoyed the scenes that involved
both of their families, I liked that they’re involved in their lives.
The setting of the story, so near the sea, is stunning
and very romantic itself.
This is a story that makes you reflect about life and
how many times we stop doing things we want/love because of what the rest would
think, how it would look, etcetera. And the importance of changes and growth
and to be willing to evolve with life and not get stuck in a previous version
of yourself that you no longer are.
I really liked how Lyndsey developed this one and was
very grateful for the no third act break up.

Savannah es
una madre soltera que fue abandonada por el padre biológico de las gemelas
cuando le dijo que estaba embarazada. Después de eso, comienza un blog llamado
"Single Sav" que se vuelve exitoso y comienza a ser no sólo su
trabajo sino también su identidad; y la máscara de sí misma que presenta al
mundo. También usa esa máscara como una forma de no volver a ser lastimada:
nunca tiene citas. Está enfocada en su carrera y en criar a sus hijas.
Ronan es un
nadador retirado, ganador olímpico y mujeriego. Después de que terminó su
carrera, su vida se volvió algo vacía, excepto por las clases que da a niños
pequeños. Es el profesor de natación de las gemelas y ha estado secretamente
enamorado de Sav durante dos años, pero no sabe cómo convencerla de salir con
él.
Cuando a Sav
se le ofrece el trabajo de sus sueños, está obligada a enfrentar su mayor
miedo: meterse en el mar. Por lo tanto, le pide a la única persona en la que
puede pensar, Ronan, que la ayude dando lecciones de natación. El único
problema es que, por mucho que finja despreciarlo, también está muy atraída por
él. Las lecciones comienzan y con ellas comienzan a volar las chispas entre los
dos.
¿Puede un
mujeriego dejar de serlo? ¿Puede una influencer soltera tener citas sin dañar
su carrera? Tendrás que sumergirte en esta historia para leer su maravilloso
viaje.
Realmente me
encantó la evolución de los personajes principales y cómo está retratada, así
como la construcción de su romance. Me gusta lo dulce que es Ronan y lo
comprometido que está para mostrarle que se preocupa por ella. Me gusta lo
fuerte que es Sav, criando a sus hijos sola y construyendo una marca tan importante
por sí misma. Y me encanta cómo se complementan el uno al otro al abrirse a
conocerse.
Los
personajes secundarios son encantadores, me encantan las gemelas y el vínculo
que Ronan tiene con ellas. Y realmente disfruté las escenas que involucraban a
ambas familias, me gustó que estuvieran involucradas en sus vidas.
El escenario
de la historia, tan cerca del mar, es impresionante y muy romántico en sí
mismo.
Esta es una
historia que te hace reflexionar sobre la vida y cuántas veces dejamos de hacer
cosas que queremos/amamos por lo que los demás pensarían, cómo se vería, etcétera.
Y la importancia de los cambios y el crecimiento y de estar dispuesto a
evolucionar con la vida y no quedarse atrapado en una versión anterior de ti
mismo que ya no eres.
Realmente me
gustó cómo Lyndsey desarrolló esta historia y estuve muy agradecida por la
falta de ruptura en el tercer acto.
